imperial accademy for applied theoretics which hovers above the moon
Trilonia. Aside from the drives to remain in character and the style
suggesting that these technologies have already come to pass, everything
you see is serious. Comment all you like. These pieces are dynamic and
evolving. Maybe they will bring about the technology that they praise in
the past tense... Note:This is Pariah's non-fiction section. Although some of us do write in character, the material here should not be dismissed without consideration. Dreamers drive the future. It is the strength of such men that they are compulsively unreasonable. For that reason, they fail big, yet they also succeed like no others. It should also be noted that no pages on Pariah Online Magazine are in the public domain unless they specifically state that they are. This material represents decades of work for some of these people. We would all like recognition for our labors. I have no problem with anything I write here being spread around for reasons of discussion and examination. Please do not steal from us. There are no research grants here. |

This is Who We Are
Pariah is a web based magazine crafted with an eye on the style of science fiction and fantasy which was popular before either editor was born. Modern fiction tends to rely on special effects to overcome the lack of a real storyline. There is also a trend toward soft sci-fi which blocks out even some of the best hard sci-fi. We do not aim for Nostalgia fiction. Our aim is for sci-fi and fantasy from a time when science could actually do anything.
The only bad politics is the belief that there is Correct Politics so
we're not into fiction as an attack on question, however, we aim for fiction
which is a question. We are the dreamers from whom tomorrow draws life. Ask
us only the hard questions, the ones which mean something in the end, and
never forget that you're here to tell a good story.
Comments posted on any of the story comment pages will be examined
periodically by the editors. Inappropriate posts will be removed. This
feature is meant to facilitate communication with authors and their
readers and not for verbal warfare.
Comments sent to Pariah will, at the editor's discretion, appear in
future issues of Pariah.
